My workshops are based on the Philosophy of Louise Hay (“Heal Your Life®”).
I also use ideas on the mind/body connection including understanding the science behind this and the importance of extreme self care in healing our lives.
Our thoughts create our lives. By becoming aware of our beliefs, some of which have been around since we were very young, and changing them, we can have a profound effect on improving the quality of our lives.
Using tools and techniques such as affirmations, visualisations and mirror work enable us to start the process of healing ourselves and move forward in our personal growth.

People used to think that the mind and body were completely separate, however we now know that the body and mind are intertwined and connected so that what we think and feel greatly affects our body. Every thought, feeling and intention we have sends ripples throughout our bodies. The entire body feels every emotion we have and as a result our emotional challenges frequently show up as physical symptoms.
At one time it was also believed that the brain was hardwired – i.e. it couldn’t change. Science now has proved that in fact the brain is always changing (neuroplasticity). It is in a constant state of flux, responding each moment to our thoughts and movements. This is significant as it means that, by using affirmations and visualisations, we are changing the nerve connections in our brains and so building new, healthier ways of thinking and being that become new habits.
When you really love and accept yourself, your life can blossom. However, this is easier said than done!
One way of looking at this is by practising extreme self care and realising that only by caring for ourselves can we begin to learn to love and care for others.
Remember, the brain is always changing and learning, so whatever behaviours you embrace and repeat will eventually become your new habits.
Something to remember with all personal development, exploration of spirituality or pursuit of new interests or skills is Do Not Put It Off.
Do not wait until you have more money, until you have found your 'calling' or 'perfect job,' until you have lost the weight or until the new year; you are worth investing your love in NOW.
